The subject of this Engineer’s thesis was the design and implementation of a mobile application that helps a group manage household chores. The solution enables tasks to be planned and assigned, shopping lists to be created and food supplies to be monitored, and allows group members to communicate via a built-in chat with push notifications. The application was extended with a receipt-scanning module that uses OCR technology to read basic information from receipts automatically and store it in a database, making it easier to manage the household budget and shopping. The project progressed from an analysis of user needs and the definition of functional and non-functional requirements, through the design of the system architecture and its implementation in Flutter using Amazon Web Services, to functional and performance testing. The thesis was carried out as a team project: one person was mainly responsible for the front end and interface design, the other for the back end and integration, which allowed a complete mobile application to be implemented efficiently.
