The thesis describes a MATLAB implementation of the REPET (REpeating Pattern Extraction Technique) algorithm for extracting the accompaniment/vocal track from music recordings. Alternative methods for separating these tracks are also briefly presented. The practical part describes the developed program, verifies that it works correctly and examines its computational complexity. The performance of the REPET algorithm is evaluated and compared with another available solution.
